Still a work in progress, but it is coming along nicely!

• LED Strip (few meters attached to the back of the desk)
• Pixoo Divoom Pixel Art Frame (shows animated pixel animations)
• 3x Small Neon LED Lamps (planet, rainbow & lightning bolt)
• ADX Gaming Mouse/Keyboard
• Surefire Mouse Pad

In the corner there is some unbranded floor LED-lamp (you can see the lamp legs peeking out on the floor). It slowly shifts in rainbow colors. In the ceiling I have a spotlight pointing towards the disco ball in case I am more in a disco mood.

My goal with this office is simply a comfy ambience. My dream environment is the gritty neon back alleys of 90's Kowloon, but since I can't have that, I am making a similar environment in my home instead.

This is the feeling I crave

Since I now have cats and a wasp invasion at the same time, I can no longer keep my massive flamingo on the window sill, as the cats hunt the wasps and already toppled the flamingo once. The flamingo is made of metal and it made a horrible sound when falling onto the floor, so it will have to stay on the floor for now.
I simply made the window sill into a kitty sleeping spot instead. Flamingos and zebras are obviously my soul animals, hence the faux fur rug is zebra. The faux fur pelt on the chair is pink, which already matches great with the room atmosphere.

The only thing that is wifi- or bluetooth-connected is my Pixoo Divoom frame and LED strip on the back of my desk. This is obviously not a problem for me as I am pretty happy with the color setup, and I have a remote control for the floor lamp. The desk LED strip shifts between blue, purple and pink.

I have yet to find somewhere to mount the neon lamps, right now they are simply in provisional location to get a feel. They are all USB so it will take some effort to set up and tuck away their cords once I decided where to put them.

I have been considering if I should just paint the walls white, but really, the current pattern doesn't disturb me much, and should I ever want to turn the room into something neutral again, this wallpaper is a great starting point. But we will see. :P

LEDs are very environmental friendly. The "Neon" LED lamps are less than 2 watt each, and the strip/floor lamp are not much more than that. Oh, and in the daylight the room looks almost "normal", as the LEDs get very faded when it is bright. I can live with the few hours of daylight we have in the winters, I mean at least I get some extra D-vitamin for it.

As for that funny 80's style poster with the girl in shades; I have a few more similar ones which I found in a local dollar store. I am not sure I need/want them on the walls though. I don't really have much wall space as you can see. I think I rather make some cat shelves to encourage furry company. The drawing to the left is one of my most precious possessions, a drawing my younger brother made a few years back, of my biggest idol, Agnes Wold. It probably deserves a lavish golden frame. Yeah. Well, I am off to order a suitable frame for that piece of art.
